FEMA ELEVATION CERTIFICATE – A Elevation Certificate involves the preparation of  a FEMA form for the purpose of determining whether a property is within a flood zone and to assist with insurance rating.  As part of an Elevation Certificate it is necessary for the survey crew to enter the dwelling for the purpose of measuring floor elevations. The surveyors will also photograph all sides of the the dwelling and establish a GPS latitude and Longitude position.
